Comment 1 Joshua (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-02 07:15:44 UTC
O.k. This is where things get interesting.

FEATURES="test" emerge gnubg fails. However, it also fails on x86, so either I'm inhabiting an alternate reality or this wasn't checked. (I've checked this on two different x86 machines, with different gcc's etc.)

From the look of it the USE flags won't affect anything here. It is in the core of the engine.

Also, the programs runs sensibly, and plays accurately. Additionally different ply analysis works consistently, suggesting that there isn't anything totally off.

So, do we just keyword this with a note that one of the tests fails?
Comment 2 Joshua (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-02 17:22:59 UTC
O.k. Doubled checked and talked to Mr_Bones.

Result: Test fails on x86. I can't see any reason why this test would ever work. It just looks broken to me.

Conclusion: Mark ~ppc64.
             Add RESTRICT="test" for all archs.
Comment 3 Joshua (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-24 02:39:52 UTC
And can someone action this please?
Dependency is a general one for all arches, not specific to ppc64.
Comment 4 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-24 12:48:56 UTC
@games: You are fine with RESTRICT="test"?
Comment 5 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-24 13:27:08 UTC
sounds good to me.
Comment 6 Markus Rothe (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-26 10:35:02 UTC
added ~ppc64 and RESTRICT="test".
