Description:   Opened: 2006-04-24 15:33 0000
evms-2.5.3-r1 installed without the FAT plugin, meaning that it cannot create
FAT filesystems (or at least I wasn't able to create one in evmsgui).

evms.sourceforge.net says that FAT is supported by evms.

It also looks, judging by the output of "equery f evms", as if OCFS support is
missing as well (unless ocfs and ogfs are different names for the same thing),
but plugins for the other supposedly supported filesystems are indeed present,
including NTFS.

------- Comment #1 From Jeremy Huddleston 2006-05-02 01:08:46 0000 -------
Odd. What arch are you on? Can you try 2.5.5? I have
/lib64/evms/2.5.5/fat-1.0.0.so on amd64.

------- Comment #2 From Robert Persson 2006-05-04 16:08:37 0000 -------
I've just upgraded to 2.5.5-r1 and the fat plugin is now present, as well as
ocfs2. I assume they both work fine, but I haven't had a chance to test them.

My arch is x86, if that matters.

I won't mark this as fixed just yet, just in case you want to remask 2.5.3-r1.

------- Comment #3 From Jeremy Huddleston 2006-05-05 11:56:55 0000 -------
ppc and x86, please mark 2.5.5-r1 stable on your arch.

------- Comment #4 From David Morgan 2006-05-14 06:49:44 0000 -------
Are we expecting all the tests in the test suite to work? Nine of them failed
here

the ones that fail: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~wadh2045/evmsfail (I can paste it in
here, but it's pretty long)

and the full ouput: http://users.ox.ac.uk/~wadh2045/evmstests

------- Comment #6 From Mark Loeser 2006-05-20 21:48:37 0000 -------
eradicator: are the tests actually supposed to work? Please advise. Thanks.

------- Comment #7 From Jeremy Huddleston 2006-05-21 19:01:53 0000 -------
oh sorry... I missed that the first time.

Some of those failures look like they're from missing kernel support or missing
userland tools, but the rest of them are tests that just don't work.

------- Comment #8 From Mark Loeser 2006-05-21 21:04:10 0000 -------
(forgot the comment) :)

x86 done

------- Comment #9 From Joe Jezak 2006-05-25 17:20:57 0000 -------
hansmi has already marked this ppc stable, thanks! Closing since we're the
last arch.
