Description:   Opened: 2006-04-24 03:09 0000
The new media-plugins/alsa-plugins is going to supersede the old alsa-jack
package that contains the jack plugin.

This packages does not contain only the jack plugin but a few more, namely a52,
samplerate, oss and mix plugins.

Please consider ~arching the package, and arching as soon as possible. I'm
going to bump alsa-jack to 1.0.11 still, so that can be stabled with the rest
of alsa, but if you can ~arch and arch this in a month or so, I'd like to drop
alsa-jack entirely and rely only on this.

Thanks,
Diego

Gah it's already ~amd64 (committed that way).

~sparc'ed.

Seems to work fine on ~x86 here - it compiled with several USE flag
combinations.

jackd is working fine, and having samplerate stuff in ~/.asoundrc doesn't break
anything, which hopefully means it's working...

Not sure what the ffmpeg stuff's supposed to do, though.

Alpha, ARM, Sh.. if ALSA 1.0.12 will be needed for next kernel we'll end up
having to deprecate alsa-jack, just so that you know.
