I upgraded from baselayout-1.12.0_pre16-r3 to baselayout-1.12.0_pre17-r3 and
then I had a power outage (luckily it happened the same day) so I had to
reboot. When /etc/init.d/vserver tried to run it stopped with a svcdir:
readonly variable error. I searched bugzilla and found out that splashutils
also had a bug with the new baselayout but it had been fixed with a newer
version. I didn't see anything conserning util-vserver so I thought I would
post a new bug.
Also I DID run etc-update and updated ALL the new files for the baselayout. I
even downgraded and then upgraded again to make sure I got them all.

fixed in 0.30.210-r13, thanks

Thank you very much. Just one more reason to love Gentoo, the amazing support.
