Unset:  ASFLAGS, CTARGET, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY

Marked nvidia-settings-1.0.20051122-r3 stable on amd64 to match nvidia-kernel
and nvidia-glx.  This should fix your problem.  Please let us know.
