Description Erik 2006-04-07 05:38:41 UTC
media-libs/libwmf-0.2.8.2 depends on virtual/x11 and therefore does not work with modular X. So please stabilize 0.2.8.3-r1 or higher.
Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-04-07 05:48:15 UTC
OK, so to make this clear and prevent a flood of bugs - doesn't work with modular X is not a valid reason to stabilize anything until modular X gets stable.

That was already the whole "flood". The rest of the packages seem to be fixed already.

If I was a user of a stable system (which I was until recently) I would actually prefer to have these ussues fixed before modular X itself gets stable. That would prevent problems and I do not see any disadvantage with stabilizing packages like media-libs/libwmf-0.2.8.3-r1 before modular X.

Now modular X is stable. Is this now a good reason? :)

Probably... CCing arches that have modular X stable.

compiles fine on x86, import/export of wmf works too.

Tested on ppc. Works well so far, the wmf2* produces slightly screwed output, however ex/importing with gimp is fine and this is no regression wrt older versions.

Recommended stable on ppc.
