Hello *, Attached is gle-4.0.11.ebuild and 64gle-gentoo.el (which lives in files/ and is used to install gle-mode.el). gle (http://glx.freshmeat.net) is a mature (bsd-licensed) program for producing publication-quality plots and other line drawings in a number of formats. I suggest media-gfx/gle.

Another ebuild for the same package was submitted in bug 112595. However, my ebuild (in the current bug) is much more comprehensive: it respects anumber of USE flags, it can install gle-mode.el (if use emacs), etc. Andrey
Created attachment 84493 [details] gle-4.0.11.ebuild I've fixed a bug in my ebuild: it gzipped pdf documentation files. Also, maybe, this package is more appropriate for sci-visualization. In fact, this is a borderline case: gle can be used as a general-purpose vector graphics program, but also supports 2d and 3d visualization of scientific data.
Hi, I put the ebuild in gentooscience overlay with the following changes relative to this one: - a patch to allow parallel compiling and respect user CXXFLAGS - basic cleaning and cosmetics. It worked so far on x86 but did not on amd64. Sebastien
