Description:   Opened: 2006-03-28 19:43 0000
I've noticed that after upgrading to media-video/mplayer-bin-1.0.20060217 (and
possibly X.org 7.0) mplayer doesn't work with xinerama anymore.
This gives me the problem that the mplayer window gets way too wide because it
fails to detect that I run a dual monitor setup. This happends with -vo gl, gl2
and xv, because x11 uses software rendering it doesn't have the same problem.

The other ebuild (media-video/mplayer-bin-1.0_pre7-r3) does work correctly.

------- Comment #1 From Rick van Hattem 2006-03-29 03:25:33 0000 -------
If others have this problem, I forgot to tell that you can work around it by
putting media-video/mplayer-bin-1.0.20060217 in /etc/portage/package.mask.

This will mask this mplayer-bin build so the portage won't install this one
anymore but up- or downgrade to another version.

------- Comment #3 From Rick van Hattem 2006-04-04 14:23:49 0000 -------
I've noticed there's a new version of mplayer-bin (mplayer-bin-1.0.20060302)
but it still has the same problem.

------- Comment #4 From Marc Schaubach 2006-04-05 11:31:07 0000 -------
As noted by Rick, mplayer-bin-1.0.20060302 does not have xinerama support here
either.. please recompile with xinerama flag.. This is almost become unusuable
in it's current state.

------- Comment #5 From neuron@hollowtube.mine.nu 2006-04-08 17:17:51 0000 -------
This is still a problem in mplayer-bin-1.0.20060302, and it's completely
unusable for a lot of people.

------- Comment #6 From Daniel Gryniewicz 2006-04-10 06:45:27 0000 -------
Fixed in 1.0.20060408.
