The xfig-3.4.2-rx ebuilds install the documentation into the directory /usr/share/doc/${P}, with the -r revision suffix, while the main program's help menu searches in /usr/share/doc/xfig-3.4.2, and thus is unable to find it.

Should be fairly easy to fix.

Thanks, fixed in CVS. Track eywording reqeust on bug #169475
