Description:   Opened: 2006-03-22 11:25 0000 
The dansguardian-2.9.6.1_alpha1 ebuild depends on dev-libs/libpcre. However,
the package's configure script explicitly checks for and fails without
libpcre-6.0 or greater.

Please bump the libpcre depdenency version:

    pcre? ( >=dev-libs/libpcre-6.0 )

libpcre-6.3 is stable everywhere, use portage properly and upgrade with --deep,
you won't have such problems then.
