Description:   Opened: 2006-03-21 21:33 0000
DungeonDoom is a Doom3 modification for Windows, Linux and Macintosh operating
systems. DungeonDoom incorporates most key features of roguelike games. In
particular, levels are largely composed of mazes, which are generated randomly
every time a new game is started. Levels have stairs leading either to higher
or lower levels of the dungeon.

The lower the player descends into the dungeon, the stronger the enemies get.
Killed enemies drop gold which then can be used by the player in shops to buy
weapons and ammo. Much of this functionality is not part of the original Doom3
engine and has been added to DungeonDoom. The modification is highly extensible
and the current 8.0 build of DungeonDoom includes an overworld, a storyline,
random quests, special level bosses with special abilities, magical spells, an
equipment system, character development, player ability system and various
playable characters, including a collectible card variant using the 'card
master' and a sword- wielding combo performing ninja.

Here's an ebuild, now that we have doom3-roe. But, I don't think it's quite
polished enough for Portage yet - I had a crash when attempting the "overhead"
mode.

not sure if it makes sense .. but we can have also 5.2 version (not 'xp'),
which doesn't requires roe

------- Comment #4 From Anton Romanov 2006-03-24 11:51:00 0000 -------
this is incompatible with
games-fps/doom3-ducttape

Confirmed - doom3-dungeon doesn't start with both. I've added a blocker with
doom3-ducttape.

------- Comment #6 From Anton Romanov 2006-03-24 12:40:54 0000 -------
and yeah, overhead mode works without any problem for me

------- Comment #7 From Michael Boone 2006-05-21 20:21:44 0000 -------
overhead/install works fine here

couldn't we do with just a warning about the ducttape conflict?

See bug #133996 for the proper fix for conflicting mods.

Tidied ebuild.

Correct "find" command option order, to stop it from moaning.
