Sorry, need to reopen; as the issue is not fixed on some of the servers.  Can
you please check the ftp://gentoo.chem.wisc.edu/gentoo/ server.  I am still
getting the same problem of incorrect file size being downloaded.

You still seeing this as an issue? Sorry it's taken so long to get rectified

I think this was a commit problem with a faulty version of portage.  everything
should be fixed in the next 4 hours, please resync then try to re-emerge.  if
it still fails, please reopen this bug.
