Atomix version 2.14 has been released on March 11. The Portage version of
Atomix is a deprecated, non-maintained version, which is more than 2 years old.
The new homepage is http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/atomix/

I found that breakmygentoo has a workiong ebuild:

The suggested ebuild does not follow the game rules like depicted in 

http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/games/games-ebuild-howto.xml

for instance, the game should be installed in ${GAMES_BINDIR} default to
/usr/games/bin

You should inherit the games class to do most of this things
