When trying to install sharutils today it bombed on me because I had ja_JP in my linguas (some package uses it), and linguas wasn't being filtered. Basically it just needs:

    strip-linguas -u po/

to make sure LINGUAS and the po directory are the same. Test case:

1) LINGUAS="ja_JP ja" emerge sharutils
2) ???
3) No Profit!

thanks Chris. fixed in 4.6.1 and 4.6.2
