I get:

 * It seems that your system doesn't provides a Java compiler.
 * Re-emerge sys-devel/gcc with "java" and "gcj" enabled.

but the gcc has no java USE Flag:

emerge sys-devel/gcc -pv

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild   R   ] sys-devel/gcc-3.4.5  (-altivec) -bootstrap -boundschecking
-build +fortran -gcj +gtk -ip28 (-multilib) -multislot (-n32) (-n64) +nls
-nocxx -nopie -nossp -objc -vanilla
