I've found a way to get man to work with the latest groff. In addition, I've also fixed the groff ebuild so that it installs correctly. I also have some patches to fix security holes in man. All of these are contained in the groff+man tarball. I've tested extensively, but I think it should go through more testing still. Will you have a look at it and see if it fits the bill?

I've cc'ed this at seemants request to security@gentoo.org, in the hopes that they might review some of the changes in the man patch which redhat identified as being fixes to potential exploits. Note these fixes come straight from redhat's latest rawhide man rpm.
The patches for man .. are it only one, or a few ? Any chance you can send them to me with the original names ? Just make things easier in future with new releases ... thanks.
Added groff-1.18-r2 and man-1.5k-r1, thanks.
