Description:   Opened: 2002-12-20 02:45 0000
This is just a request for the current version of the gnu multiprecision
library to be made into an
ebuild.

Additionally their are patches to this version here:
http://www.swox.com/gmp/#STATUS

that may be worthwhile to add to the ebuild if possible..

Thanks again for making a very nice linux distribution..

Created an attachment (id=6840) [edit]
gmp-4.1.1.ebuild tar file

made the ebuild including patchs
only test on gentoo-1.4 x86
It runs the 'make check' test-case -- this can be removed after testing.

I can't seem to download this ebuild using either konqueror or galeon from
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12473 I get "attachment.cgi" instead of
"gmp-4.1.1.ebuild" or similar. Also this doesn't appear in the gmp directory of
portage after doing an emerge sync. Am I doing something incorrectly or is
something wrong? -Robert

GMP was recently updated to 4.1.2. (2002-12-30)

Another package that may be interesting to someone familiar with gmp is here:
www.informatik.tu-darmstadt.de/TI/LiDIA/

It is an advanced number theory package. Sometimes that web site doesn't seem to work. It requires gmp or another similar package as its foundation.

------- Comment #4 From Aron Griffis (RETIRED) 2003-02-22 11:29:49 0000 -------
I've updated the ebuild to version 4.1.2, currently ~ masked for all
architectures since we're frozen for Gentoo 1.4.
