If I force automake version 1.6 (as configure.in script implies should be used) by adding

export WANT_AUTOMAKE="1.6"

Into the ebuild, I get alot furter, but it finally dies with this instead

Comment 6 Leonardo Boshell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-14 06:00:33 UTC
Sorry about that. I forgot about the gtk-doc macros that every now and then causes this kind of error. Please re-sync your trees in a couple or hours or so, try emerging vte again and let us know how it goes.

Thanks.
Comment 7 Seemant Kulleen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-14 06:32:24 UTC
from sync of 15 minutes ago, it's still broken.
Comment 8 Stian Skjelstad 2006-02-14 10:31:01 UTC
I just synced again, and it works for me
Comment 9 Mark D. 2006-02-14 16:17:26 UTC
I was having this problem, but after an emerge --sync I can report it is now:
FIXED
Comment 10 Leonardo Boshell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-14 18:58:34 UTC
Thanks for the comments, resolving now. I think Seemant just needed to re-sync again.
