This report replaces http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1054 as I attached the wrong tarball there. Xtoolwait notably decreases the startup time of an X session by reducing the load on the X server and the OS. It's useful for controlling the sequence of apps loaded in your xsession. See http://www.hacom.nl/~richard/software/xtoolwait.html and http://www.hacom.nl/~richard/software/xtoolwait-1.3.README regards dan
attaching files does not seem to work at all at the moment. the correct tarball of x11-wm/xtoolwait can be downloaded from http://www.icu.unizh.ch/~mettlerd/gentoo/files/xtoolwait-1.3.ebuild.tar.gz
mettlerd@hal temp $ md5sum xtoolwait-1.3.ebuild.tar.gz 95b0b636f6b48e3f1e9903405e291684 xtoolwait-1.3.ebuild.tar.gz
Created attachment 446 [details] the tarball of x11-misc/xtoolwait attached using the workaround as described in http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71
nb. do not forget to rename this attachment to xtoolwait-1.3.ebuild.tar.gz
