Above ebuild for gnotime-2.2.2 works for me on Gnome 2.12.3, no XML parsing errors here. I do get a few QA notices after gnotime-2.2.1 is unmerged: ====================== QA Notice: ECLASS 'eutils' inherited illegally in app-office/gnotime-2.2.1 QA Notice: ECLASS 'multilib' inherited illegally in app-office/gnotime-2.2.1 QA Notice: ECLASS 'portability' inherited illegally in app-office/gnotime-2.2.1 ====================== I'm using Portage 2.1_pre6-r3 btw.
This ebuild works for me. No XML errors. Would be nice to see this in the tree - it's a big improvement on 2.2.1.
Just ran into a problem reinstalling this ebuild. dev-util/guile has moved to dev-scheme/guile, breaking the ebuild. Simple to fix - just edit the ebuild and change the two.

Thanks for the ebuild, just to add that this also works fine on x86_64. This version does indeed fix a number of major issues.
the new version if in the tree
