Whenever I run eix, I get an output that looks like this:

root@brooklyn:/home/paolo> eix eix

    Can't read category.

I should have added that I only got this problem after upgrading to 0.5.1

I don't think it is the same bug. 
I used to have that problem but now I have /etc/eixrc as 
PORTDIR_CACHE_METHOD=backport

I got this problem only after I upgraded to 0.5.1
