Description:   Opened: 2006-02-01 09:13 0000
bitpim has the ablitity to create ringtones by converting a sound file from one
format to another, however this functionality failed for me. Tracking down the
error message revealed that /usr/lib/bitpim-0.8.04/helpers/ffmpeg.lbin was not
marked as executable, the original permissions were 644. After making that
file executable, I made the permissions 755, I was able to successfully convert
ringtones in bitpim. Looking at it further none of the files in
/usr/lib/bitpim-0.8.04/helpers/ are executable.

I also have bitpim, version 0.8.03, installed on a SuSE 10.0 system and all
files in /usr/lib/bitpim-0.8.03/helpers/ are executable.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks in advance,

Brian
