Version bump request.
There is a VERY good performance gain on ppc-linux.
I just committed fftw-3.1 to portage CVS. Currently, it is masked for further testing. It works fine for me and passes all the tests, but please give it a spin an report back. Thanks, Markus
I can confirm that fftw 3.1 works OK on x86 (Intel Pentium-M) architecture. Here are the flags I used for compilation: [ Found these USE variables for sci-libs/fftw-3.1 ] U I - - 3dnow : Adds support for 3dnow multimedia processor instructions - - altivec : Adds support for optimizations for G4 and G5/ppc970 processors + + sse : fast floating point optimization for PentiumIII+ class chips + + sse2 : faster floating point optimization for SSE2 capable chips BR, /ediap
Hi Adam, Thank you very much for reporting back. After some further testing I'll hopefully be able to unmask fftw-3.1 soon. Thanks, Markus
