Description:   Opened: 2006-01-22 15:04 0000
i am using modular x and /tmp is mounted 'noexec'.
ebuilds using imake, xmkmf fail like this:

>>> Compiling source in /var/tmp/portage/xclip-0.08/work/xclip ...
mv -f Makefile Makefile.bak
imake -DUseInstalled -I/usr/lib/X11/config
sh: /tmp/imakeERlpxw: Permission denied
/usr/bin/xmkmf: line 57: 27035 Aborted                 imake $imake_defines
$args

!!! ERROR: x11-misc/xclip-0.08 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 25, Exitcode 134
!!! (no error message)
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

the patch '0128_all_4.2.0-imake-tmpdir-v2.patch' in
xorg-x11-6.8.2-patches-0.1.13.tar.bz2 still works for me.

The patch is *still* needed, despite out ChangeLog suggesting something else.

Well, so can we stick the patch back?

------- Comment #5 From Donnie Berkholz 2007-08-01 23:33:49 0000 -------
You need to set TMPDIR for it to use somewhere else that isn't noexec. That's
what the patch does -- allows you to use TMPDIR.
