Description:   Opened: 2006-01-17 03:50 0000
Hi!

On a system which still uses kernel 2.4, an emerge --sync; emerge -vp world
will list udev as a dependency of baselayout-1.11.14 because the alternative
dependency devfsd-1.3.25-r9 is keyworded as ~arch.

Excerpt from baselayout-1.11.14.ebuild:
RDEPEND=">=sys-apps/sysvinit-2.86-r3
        !build? ( !bootstrap? (
                >=sys-libs/readline-5.0-r1
                >=app-shells/bash-3.0-r10
                >=sys-apps/coreutils-5.2.1
                || ( >=sys-fs/udev-070 >=sys-fs/devfsd-1.3.25-r9 )
        ) )"

For this reason, please either put baselayout 1.11.14 back in ~arch or devfsd
1.3.25-r9 in arch.

Best regards
Christian
