Description Erik Zeek 2006-01-05 14:37:18 UTC
An emerge of eric completes successfully even though the actuall building failed. No executable gets installed, only documentation and the destop entry.

After unmerging qscintilla and qyqt, I was able to su emerge eric.

The problem above still remains though. The emerge of eric should have failed.

My problem is a little bit different:

>>> Install eric-3.8.1 into /var/tmp/portage/eric-3.8.1/image/ category dev-util
Sorry, please install PyQt.
Error: dynamic module does not define init function (initqt)

and continues normaly

>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
>>> dev-util/eric-3.8.1 merged.

PyQt is already installed. I tried to reinstall it but there was no difference

Ok, finally fixed. The main problem is that eric3 needs qscintilla but this wasn't in DEPEND/RDEPEND. Fixed.
The second problem was that we didn't pick up when install failed, which is fixed as well (hopefully).
Thanks for reporting!
