Oops I screwed up the ebuild already. Forgot the $(use_enable bmpx bmpx) line; also cleaned it up a bit.

now worries about screwing up an ebuild. I'm sure I do it all the time.

I'm just going to wait off a bit and see if sparc can support bmpx

repoman scan

Setting paths:
PORTDIR = "/home/dan/gentoo/gentoo-x86"
PORTDIR_OVERLAY = ""

RepoMan scours the neighborhood...

  DEPEND.bad                     1
   app-admin/conky/conky-1.3.5.ebuild: ~sparc(default-linux/sparc/sparc64/2005.1) ['media-sound/bmpx']
  RDEPEND.bad                    1
   app-admin/conky/conky-1.3.5.ebuild: ~sparc(default-linux/sparc/sparc64/2005.1) ['media-sound/bmpx']
  ebuild.allmasked               1
   app-admin/conky

Another thing for you to think about. Now that conky's been there a while, if you were to push for a version to be stabilised which one would it be?

guessing media-sound/bmpx needs to be compiled with USE=dbus?
(simple ebuild modification - I can manage that)

for bug #117873. if you can name a testcase and a version would be good.

I think 1.3.5 is probably the least buggy release yet. No idea on whether bmpx is okay on sparc.

committed masked version awaiting bug #117873
Comment 7 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-07 04:49:23 UTC
1.3.5 unmasked.

Still sparc problems in conky with bmpx as per bug 117873. Please take note Brenden.

Keep up the good work.

Those issues are resolved in cvs. There was differing behavior between bsd and linux. There will probably be another release fairly soon.
