The attached patch cleans up current alevt ebuilds and adds dependencies to build alevt with modular X.
It removes the sed line in unpack to set CFLAGS, allowing the CFLAGS to be altered in src_compile (overrides them in emake call); it also get rid of -s flag that strips the executables, ignoring nostrip and splitdebug features.
It uses the right compiler for the system it's building in, so to be cross-distcc compatible.

Looks good. Want to maintain it? I currently don't have any video input for my TV card and the situation won't get better, I'm afraid.
