Description:   Opened: 2005-12-01 07:25 0000
When starting xqf after compiling with +gtk2 USE flag (gtk2 USE flag is
depricated as I know btw..) then the program will crash at startup. The Splash
image appears but while loading the GUI it will crash.

emerge log: http://www.rafb.net/paste/results/d52u3V65.html
xqf error log: http://www.rafb.net/paste/results/lZTK6i57.html

I use gtk 2.8.7
glib 2.8.4

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.$ USE=gtk2 emerge xqf
2.$ xqf

Actual Results:
xqf crashed...

Expected Results:
the GUI should have appeared

attach the logs here, never use external URLs

especially rafb.net/paste which expires all pastes after a certain amount of time

Sorry. I needed that when I searched for a solution.. seemed convenient here
too. I'll post the logs then.

xqf-error.log

Hi,

this is the error I get when starting a gtk2-compiled xqf.

Cheers Poly

I'm seeing this bug too on both i386 and amd64.... I hope it gets fixed soon
cause I'm too lazy to read the source code right now :)

------- Comment #5 From Milosz Kosobucki 2005-12-24 02:00:40 0000 -------
It may be something about latest versions of GTK. AFAIR xqf wasn't crashing
witk gtk+ 2.4 or 2.6

Patch for gtk-2.8.9

This patch came from the XQF bugzilla. It fixes the issue for me but may only
work if you are using gtk-2.8.9.

------- Comment #7 From Mike 2006-01-06 03:48:29 0000 -------
I meant to say the patch is for xqf, not gtk. Sorry.
