Description:   Opened: 2005-11-13 00:44 0000
It's stable, at least on my Mach64. No mysterious crashes, just a minor glitch
in _some_ textures caused by a quirk of my particular setup. (If I were not lazy
I could fix it by setting my depth to 15 bpp instead of 16 bpp.) Currently,
there is no other 2.6-compatible version of this package keyworded ppc.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

------- Comment #1 From Donnie Berkholz 2006-08-17 17:54:41 0000 -------
Should probably go for 20060608 instead now.

------- Comment #2 From Bryan Stine 2006-09-07 15:49:58 0000 -------
Modifying for 20060608.

Stable 20060608 would resolve bug #104632 (currently the only open x11-drm bug)
and bug #146549 (for non-x86).

------- Comment #3 From Christian Faulhammer 2006-09-07 23:37:44 0000 -------
1) emerges fine so far
a) >>> Unpacking x11-drm-20060608-gentoo-0.2.tar.bz2 to
/var/tmp/portage/x11-drm-20060608/work
mv: cannot stat `/var/tmp/portage/x11-drm-20060608/work/patch/*kernel-2.4*': No
such file or directory
b) autoreconf-2.59: Entering directory `.'
autoreconf-2.59: configure.ac: not using Gettext
2) passes collision test
3) How can I test it? X starts up is all I can tell.

------- Comment #4 From Bryan Stine 2006-09-08 16:11:22 0000 -------
Desired behavior would be to have working 3D acceleration (glxgears/glxinfo) at
a reasonable speed. Except for nv, since that module only offers DMA
capabilities for use with EXA.

------- Comment #5 From Christian Faulhammer 2006-09-09 00:19:24 0000 -------
DRI works fine, but my second compilation lead to a failure in collision
protect

* checking 7 files for package collisions

existing file /lib/modules/2.6.17-gentoo-r7-g6530cddd-dirty/x11-drm/drm.ko is

These files are not owned by any package, but they were copied by mv command in
the ebuild.

------- Comment #6 From Donnie Berkholz 2006-09-09 00:23:46 0000 -------
Presumably you installed and uninstalled x11-drm, but, as kernel modules do,
they stuck around after uninstallation. Upon reinstallation, aha! They collide.

------- Comment #7 From Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) 2006-09-10 11:04:20 0000 -------
stable on x86

Marked ppc stable.

------- Comment #9 From Tim Yamin (RETIRED) 2006-09-18 12:15:32 0000 -------
IA64 done.

------- Comment #10 From Christoph Mende 2006-09-23 10:18:34 0000 -------
- emerges fine on amd64
- passes collision-test
- passes multilib-strict
- works
