we dont maintain the .ids file, we fetch it fresh from linux-usb.sf.net everytime you emerge the ebuild
seems they added new functionality to usbutils in cvs but they havent done a release yet ... so ive grabbed a small patch to add the new features to 0.71 fixed in 0.71-r1
