Do you know if there are any differences with rubber (also in dev-tex) ?
I have never heard of rubber before, but from looking at its website I get the impressions that these two tools are identical in intent and feature-set.
Your ebuild is nice and built fine on my box. The only remark I have about syntax is that the description is too long. The whole line should take less than 80 chars (I know it's sometimes hard to shorten it so much...). You could also have used ${PN} in HOMEPAGE and SRC_URI but it's not as important as ${P} for the tarball name. The numbering scheme of latexmk seems quite weird in the archives, but we should be fine as long as there is only one letter after the version number and it follows the alphabetical order. Please correct this minor issue and I'll try to have it included in the portage tree.
Sebastian, The ebuild could be committed. Feel free to do so, and assign it to the text-markup herd in metadata.xml, Alexandre will become its direct maintainer once he gets dev status. Thanks.
dev-tex/latexmk-307a had been added to portage.
