Description:   Opened: 2005-10-21 19:07 0000
After I upgraded emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.2 from previous version (2.1),
vmware does not launch any more.
When I downgraded the emulation library, it returns to normal.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.2
2. launch vmware
3.

Actual Results:
following errors occured and vmware quitted.

-------------

** CRITICAL **: file gdk-pixbuf.c: line 79 (gdk_pixbuf_unref): assertion `pixbuf
!= NULL' failed.

** CRITICAL **: file gdk-pixbuf-scale.c: line 232 (gdk_pixbuf_scale_simple):
assertion `src != NULL' failed.

** CRITICAL **: file gdk-pixbuf-render.c: line 349
(gdk_pixbuf_render_pixmap_and_mask): assertion `pixbuf != NULL' failed.

** CRITICAL **: file gdk-pixbuf.c: line 79 (gdk_pixbuf_unref): assertion `pixbuf
!= NULL' failed.

Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with
width 65535 and height 17

Expected Results:
vmware runs

------- Comment #1 From João Paulo Teixeira 2005-10-23 13:38:28 0000 -------
Exactly the same behaviour here. emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.2 crashes
vmware-workstation-4.5.x, but emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.1 works fine.

------- Comment #2 From Mint Shows 2005-11-18 14:11:20 0000 -------
I concur with this. Seeing how many users have /tmp as non-executable for
security reasons, scripts should NOT assume to be able to execute code on /tmp.

 ^^^ Sorry ....commented wrong bug ^^^

------- Comment #4 From Herbie Hopkins (RETIRED) 2005-12-06 13:56:50 0000 -------
Fixed with version 2.3.
