I upgraded from the previews viewcvs-0.9.2XXXX and had to see that 0.9.3 misses subversion support. I couldn't find out if that is an upstream problem. I suspected it to support subversion as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install www-apps/viewcvs-0.9.3 2. Open the viewcvs.conf configuration file 3. Check the svn related variables. None there. use the 1.0_pre's
For now, do as seemant says, but I was planning on using the same type of ebuild I have for the pre's for the non-pre versions. I was just waitin to see if all the issues had been ironed out of them before I did that.
Well. I didn't notice that it's obvious that 0.9.3 would not support subversion. The description doesn't tell. I just switched back happily to 0.9.2-pre ...
I guess I didn't clarify what I meant when I said 'use the pres'. The newest 1.0_pre ebuilds have a lot of enhancements. Just make sure you backup your config settings. I've had a few issues with folks losing their config settings while upgrading, but I think I have 'fixed' that problem for now. It was an issue with webapp config and I'm waiting to hear back from them on that problem.
Some of our pre versions have been in the tree for a very long time. Any chance we can wrap this up by stabilizing some?
Fixed in www-apps/viewvc
