Hi!

Please find attached exiv2-0.7.ebuild and a patch so that it will 
honour DESTDIR properly

Exiv2 is a well supported library used to manipulate exif data in photographic
images.

I suggest media-libs/exiv2 as a suitable location.

DESTDIR.patch

The patch updates the makefile to the latest version (minus some additional
files) that does support $DESTDIR.

Here is an alternative ebuild I found on the official website of exiv2 - it looks a little cleaner and more complete then the one provided here.

It would be very important to see exiv2 in portage soon, cause digikam-0.9 and above will have it as a dependency.

the ebuild on the exiv2 homepage seems somewhat outdated *and* has not the quality I would actually prefer. ;-)

But I'm working on an ebuild right now.

but code looks clean, should work on other archs also.

Hey, it was my first! ;-)

But yes, it was very out of date.
