Alexandre contacted the text-markup a few days ago offering his help with
latex-related packages, which is very much appreciated these days :).

He likes to help out in #gentoo-bugs, and has experience with development in
Free Software projects. Initially he would join the tex-markup herd, handling
ebuilds, but he has diverse interests, and might help in other herds, such as
perl and tools as g-cpan.

I (leonardop) will act as his mentor.

any news ? It's been almost a month since the quizz was posted and this bug
created (besides, I'd love to become a dev on the day of my twentieth birthday :)).
