Description:   Opened: 2005-10-06 06:12 0000
The summary says it all. It's been working reliably ever since it came out on
both my x86 and amd64 systems

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

------- Comment #1 From Michael Imhof 2005-10-14 17:11:59 0000 -------
#107494 is not solved for kernels >= 2.6.13

------- Comment #2 From Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-10-21 08:22:00 0000 -------
Bug #107494 is now fixed in CVS - lm_sensors-2.9.2 and friends will be marked
stable on x86 in a few days if the world doesn't explode...

------- Comment #3 From Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-10-23 04:29:23 0000 -------
I've marked sys-apps/i2c, sys-apps/lm_sensors-modules and sys-apps/lm_sensors
stable on x86.

AMD64, please follow. If you do not support linux-2.4.x (sys-apps/i2c,
sys-apps/lm_sensors-modules) please let me know, and I'll add an exception to
sys-apps/lm_sensors.

------- Comment #4 From Simon Stelling (RETIRED) 2005-10-23 04:43:31 0000 -------
Hendrik, we don't support 2.4, so please go on :)

------- Comment #5 From Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-10-23 05:53:45 0000 -------
Ok, AMD64 exception added to lm_sensors.

------- Comment #6 From keith 2005-10-23 06:15:58 0000 -------
The change for bug 107494 broke the ebuild on kernels >2.6 and less tha 2.6.14,
I have put a note in 107494.

Attaching diff of ebuild for the version issue here, since 107494 is RESOLVED
FIXED

------- Comment #8 From Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-10-23 06:33:31 0000 -------
This was already fixed in CVS.

------- Comment #9 From keith 2005-10-23 06:56:03 0000 -------
Sorry about that, I did not see your other comment until after I posted the
diff.

------- Comment #10 From Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-10-27 10:17:01 0000 -------
Simon, if AMD64 doesn't support linux-2.4.x you might want to review the
KEYWORDS of the lm_sensors related package sys-apps/i2c.

------- Comment #11 From Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) 2005-11-15 02:26:34 0000 -------
lm_sensors-2.9.2 compiles on 2.6.14-gentoo-r2

it found few eeprom with sensors-detect.
I don't know if it should find anything else ?

this was on a ppc-linux G4, Uninorth-8

------- Comment #12 From Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-11-15 02:32:33 0000 -------
(In reply to comment #11)

It should find whatever is connected to your I2C bus. It is very likely that
only EEPROMs are connected to that...

------- Comment #13 From Simon Stelling (RETIRED) 2005-11-21 12:07:39 0000 -------

------- Comment #14 From Scott Stoddard (RETIRED) 2005-11-21 15:42:47 0000 -------
