Description Fernando J. Pereda (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-05 12:54:39 UTC
Hi guys!

dev-util/git should depend on dev-perl/Email-Valid and it is not marked for
mips. Could you please test and mark it as appropiate ?

You might use.mask gitsendemail if Email-Valid doesn't work or you don't want to
test it for some reason.

Thanks,
Ferdy

A new version of git has been released so I dropped the ~mips keyword in
dev-util/git-99.8b that way I fix the bug and I don't break your keyword too badly.

When you test dev-perl/Email-Valid (or use.mask gitsendemail) please re-keyword
>=dev-util/git-0.99.8b as appropiate.

Thanks again.

Guys, git-1.0.0 is out. Please either use.mask gitsendemail or mark dev-perl/Email-Valid.

In a week or so I'll be removing <dev-util/git-1.0.0 along with the only git version keyworded ~mips (thus dropping your keyword).

Cheers,
Ferdy

Problem fixed... I've been using git for quite a while on my O2 reliably. I've tested the git-send-email functionality successfully, and it seems git has a very extensive testkit (it sat there churning through various tests for some 10 mins or so) which it passed with flying colours.

The dependancies also seemed to have fairly complete testkits, and some manual testing confirmed them to be functional on MIPS.

So into ~mips they go. :-)
