while trying to emerge glimpse 4.18.0 I ran into the following problem

but the build continues and installs??? This is not keyworded for ppc-macos,
re-assigning this bug. BTW, the ebuild is outdated, latest version is 4.18.5

I bumped to version 4.18.5 which installs fine for me on OSX.  Marked
~ppc-macos.

jakub, please test with gcc 4.1 for compilation issues.
