1.1.4 has a broken java environment file. It exports a broken CLASSPATH. I
fixed
this when I also fixed bug bug #103978. x86 will go stable tomorrow or early
next week. This how you can test this:
1.java-config -s (set a user vm)
2.source ~/.gentoo/java-env
3.javac Hello.java
4.java Hello
With the old CLASSPATH this gave a ClassNotFoundException.

It seems that in here 1.1.4 failes 15/114 tests on x86. After talking with
Dalibor Topic, our resident kaffe dev on #gentoo-java, he suggested that 1.1.5
would be a lot better for a stable version than 1.1.4. I will be testing 1.1.5
ebuild to see if it is good for marking stable, but that will obviously take a
while because the newest revision is quite fresh. In the meanwhile I have marked
1.1.4-r1 stable on x86 because it is at least an improvement over 1.1.4 and axxo
said that there is no reason to move all the versions to unstable. I removed ppc
from CC because they did not have a stable version to begin with.

1.1.5-r1 sparc stable, looks the sanest choice and we're ricer.

------- Comment #5 From Dalibor Topic 2005-09-13 13:24:18 0000 -------
on ppc, currently the default engine should be intrp. the jit is not done yet,
so --with-engine=intrp should be added to configure on any ppc-arch atm.
