USE="follow_xff" emerge squid
set 
follow_x_forwarded_for allow localhost in squid.conf
restart and got error
 parseConfigFile: line 2332 unrecognized:
'follow_x_forwarded_for allow localhost'

I think I've fixed that in net-proxy/squid-2.5.10-r3.

please test it and post here the results.

btw, useflag is named "follow-xff", not with underscore.

I've tested the patch myself and it worked.
