Description Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2005-09-09 10:16:26 UTC
The configure script fails with the USE flag combination "-X motif" with the error:

configure: error: motif: --with-x option must be specified

On linux the same USE flag combinations doesn't seem to be a problem.
Compilation succeeds when USE="X motif".

Reproducible: Always

Does this make sense? Isn't X a dependency of motif, is it?

I think if motif is set, than X has to be set implicitly? Or what do you think?
Comment 2 Fabian Groffen gentoo-dev 2005-09-13 08:47:43 UTC
I haven't really thought about it, the ebuild does it this way, and I was more
or less hoping for someone to have an opinion about this, and maybe then I
should contact the maintainer to ask if motif can imply X as well... or
something like that.

This was not limited to macos but the same applies in Linux too.

Anyway, it's fixed now.
