Description Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-03 15:49:30 UTC
Troll has been doing a kick ass job in the psi ebuild, he started by adding a
few patches, and now works together with the psi team. Thanks to him the gentoo
psi has more features than any other version out there.

He wants to join our ranks, probably working in psi, some kde stuff and
x11-pluggins. He is still a bit rough around the edges in ebuilds but I think he
really deserves a mentoring as he will be a very good addition.
Comment 1 Jochen Maes (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-05 12:37:20 UTC
Gustavo,
Please give more info about this user:
full name, nickname (Troll or troll_?)

let him prepare his ebuild-quiz and when you approve the quiz let him send it to
recruiters@gentoo.org.
When send he can ping me.

greetings,

SeJo

Some brief info about me:

Name : Przemysław (Przemyslaw in ascii)
Surname : Maciąg (Maciag in ascii)
Nick : Troll

I live in Warsaw, Poland. I'm intreasted in maintaining qt/kde packages and some
x11-plugins that do not fit to previous categories.

I don't really know what else you want to now - but just ask.

Cheers,
Przemek

PS. Przemek is shorter form of Przemysław and much more informal.
Comment 3 John Mylchreest (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-11 07:15:06 UTC
unless any of the devs commenting/submitting are wanting to, I'm happy to act
mentor if interested.
Comment 4 Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-11 12:18:53 UTC
I do not have the required skills to mentor, but I would like to be CC on
communication between you John and the dev in training, so that sometime in the
future i can do it.
Comment 5 Przemyslaw Maciag (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-12 01:56:09 UTC
Yes, I'm happy that you want to be my mentor. I haven't found anyone for a time.

I think I'll end ebuild quiz this weekend.

Cheers,
Przemek

Ok. Finally quiz is done. I gave it to humpback to search for some obvious
mistakes. If everything will be ok, I'll send it tommorow.

Best regards,
Przemek

If nothing strange will happen, I will resubmit quiz answers before sunday.

SeJo has been retired (bug #43702) - can somebody take care of Przemek?
Comment 18 Przemyslaw Maciag (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-19 13:06:02 UTC
I'm ready to chat about my quiz (almost (*)) right away.

Best regards,
Przemek

(*) Just after my work time ;)
Comment 19 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-14 12:14:34 UTC
Nelchael is trolls new mentor. They need to work on the end-of-mentoring quiz + clean up the ebuild quiz.

Nelchael should have all the needed information including any existing quiz answers from troll and I've told him to poke me in case there's any questions about the mentoring.
Comment 20 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-11-10 07:09:12 UTC
Set up a while ago.
Comment 21 Christian Heim (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-26 00:00:48 UTC
Dear Przemyslaw,

Possible retirement pending as you haven't shown any activity in the past two
months.

 - Last (viewable) bugzilla activity:
   129536: 2007-05-21 22:04:27
 - Last CVS activity:
   Tue Apr 10 19:32:10 UTC 2007

If you are just away, then please use the devaway system. Please be advised
that devaway may also be considered inactive if it extends past 60 days.

Please reply and advise on your situation. Any developer found to be
inactive for a period in excess of 60 days is subject to be retired. Please
be aware that if we have not heard from you within 2 weeks time, we will
begin the retirement process.
If we do retire you, it's pretty easy to come back when you are ready. Just
do the ebuild/end-quiz again and you're back on.
Comment 22 Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-11-27 10:49:26 UTC
I just had a talk with Przemyslaw and he is trying hard to get time to complete the psi work. As head of net-im herd I gave him 30 days credit. After that it is up to devrel to decide on future actions.

Putting this on hold for now.
Comment 24 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-25 17:43:13 UTC
Przemek still shows absolutely no CVS activity, his bugzilla activity is reduced to comments, last of them being a month old. He still has a bunch of bugs assigned to him, none of which seem to be worked on. He used to be very active on forums but his last post there is over a year old. NickServ says he wasn't on IRC since 1 year and 33 weeks ago.

He's listed as a member of desktop-misc herd but members of this herd consider him missing in action. So does his original mentor, Gustavo Felisberto.

I'm starting Przemek's retirement. The first mail sent today.
Comment 25 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-01-25 19:15:01 UTC
Another note about Przemek's inactivity came from Gentoo/KDE project.

Turns out he was removed from that herd on 2007-12-06 after they tried to contact him for a month and got no response. After his removal he was sent another mail, but didn't respond to it either.
Comment 26 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-12 10:45:34 UTC
Second mail sent today.
Comment 27 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-02-23 13:47:10 UTC
No signs of life for many months. No success despite multiple contact attempts from both undertakers and kde teams. Infra, please process Przemek's retirement.
Comment 28 Robin Johnson archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2008-03-09 06:54:44 UTC
Infrastructure side of retirement has been processed. Sorry for the delay.
Comment 29 Anders Hellgren gentoo-dev 2008-03-09 08:53:16 UTC

Comment 33 Łukasz Damentko (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-03-14 17:33:56 UTC
