Shouldn't this (or couldn't this) just as well depend on 
Kompare? I use kompare with kuroo instead of kdiff3 so I 
really don't like the idea of having kdiff3 pulled in.

kuroo should work with the default configuration, and kdiff3 is the default 
while kompare is not. I agree this is not optimal, but probably this is the 
best we can do...
