Bugzilla Bug 102099

Please mark netbeans-3.6-r1 stable on x86, it's in portage since april 2004 and
still marked ~x86.

I really would like to mark Netbeans-4.0 stable instead. It has been a while
without bugs. The only thing to take care of are the various dependencies. Is
there a speficic need for 3.6 or are you just looking for a newer version? Of
course the 3.6 ebuild is not worse than the current stable ebuild. 

That would be great. Currently I use 3.6, upgrade to 4 would be nice. I
submitted the request because the current stable version is horribly outdated,
and thought it should be fixed.

Netbeans 5.5 has been committed to tree. Since this is the current version of
Netbeans. Work will not be done on older versions. There is already a pre-alpha
6.0 ebuild in java-migration-overlay that fordfrog has re-bumped from 5.0, and
addressed the new deps and etc. Closing this bug.

Re-opening for stabilization. Not that I am happy about it, but I want to punt
3.5 to reduce old gen 1 bin versions in tree. Hopefully we can stabilize 5.5
sometime soon so we can punt all old gen 1 bin versions.

If there are problems, then we need to add ia64 arch, find out if there are
problems there as well. And then we might have grounds for removing entirely
instead of stabilizing. If no problems, then will go with above plan. Thanks :)
