I've marked gxine-0.4.5 stable on amd64, as there are no new bugs and the old one seems fixed on that. Please test and mark it stable (if possible) on ppc, ppc64 and x86. Thanks, Diego
I'm getting this on x86 and on ppc64 when trying to switch to fullscreen: The program 'gxine' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 175 error_code 8 request_code 42 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
I can switch it just fine. Which xorg-x11, xine-lib and window manager are you using?
this is xorg-x11-6.8.2-r1, xine-lib-1.0.1-r3/-1.1.0, fluxbox-0.9.13-r1. I'm going to try with another windowmanager.
this problem seems to be fluxbox releated. if I run startx with "gxine" in .xinitrc, then gxine switches to fullscreen without that error. Should we still mark gxine stable on arches?
I'm using kde and works fine and I know that on Gnome it works fine, too. So at this point I don't really know what to do with this. On 0.4.6's ChangeLog there's something about full screen toolbar and "different window-manager" but I thought it wasn't with fluxbox but with older WMs and it never said "crash"..
I'm sorry, this is my misstake. I compiled the newer version of gxine in a chroot and started an older version outside of this chroot environment. 0.4.5 works just fine. Marked stable on ppc64 now.
Marked ppc stable.
yea I'm late... stable
