I only pulled the KMail packacke (actually with KNode and some games) but in the "Configure KMail panel", the icon for "Appearance" is missing and instead the ugly generic icon for "unknown type" is being diplayed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge kmail 2. 3. Actual Results: the correct icon is missing Expected Results: display the correct icon Gentoo Base System version 1.6.12 Portage 2.0.51.22-r1 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.5-r0, 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-gentoo-r4 i686 Pentium III (Coppermine) ccache version 2.3 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.10 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.5 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r10 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium3 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentium3 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig ccache distlocks fixpackages sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/gentoo/ ftp://mirror.switch.ch/mirror/gentoo/" LINGUAS="de" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/home/marco/files/ebuilds" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 X alsa apache2 apm avi berkdb bitmap-fonts crypt cups curl dvd emboss encode fam flac foomaticdb fortran gdbm gif gimp gphoto2 gpm gtk2 imagemagick imlib java jpeg ldap libg++ libwww mad mmx motif mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls ogg oggvorbis opengl pam pdflib perl png python qt quicktime readline samba scanner sdl slang spell sse ssl svga tcpd tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts vorbis xine xml2 xmms xv zlib linguas_de userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS
I added a dependency on kcontrol, which should fix this issue.
Thanks. Is there a reason why the stable x86 (kmail-3.4.1) version ebuild has not been fixed (could be my fault that I did not write which version I installed)?
Because usually we do not touch stable ebuilds, no ebuild should be in the stable branch without a bit of testing before (I know this fix was really trivial, but you never know...).
